Understanding the POCSO Act
The POCSO Act applies to offences committed against children below the age of eighteen years. The Act criminalizes various forms of sexual misconduct, including:
- Penetrative Sexual Assault
- Aggravated Penetrative Sexual Assault
- Sexual Assault
- Aggravated Sexual Assault
- Sexual Harassment of a Child
- Use of Children for Pornographic Purposes
